We have featured several other coffees through Negusse Debela and his export company, SNAP Specialty Coffee, including the Worka Chelbessa and Danche coffees. Since 2008, Negusse has been focused on elevating specialty coffees and becoming one of the exporters of the highest quality coffees.
This specific lot was produced in Tulisi washing station, which is located at 2000 meters above sea level in Yirgacheffe. Farmers deliver cherry grown in the surrounding areas of Bowicha, Idido, Cherbenta, Wachota and Gerbota areas. The distinct wet and dry seasons create prime conditions for coffee processing and farming methods. The region remains largely traditional by typically intercropping their coffee plants with other food crops. This method is common among smallholders because it maximizes land use and provides food for their families. In addition to remaining traditionally intercropped; most farmers are also organic by default.
