Mr Oliveira is the coffee manager for DBarbosa coffees in Brazil (our supplier for the Brazilian coffees that we use in our blends). Deyvid’s title is actually “Coffee Maker” and a parallel can be drawn between what he does and what a vintner would do with wine, working with what the coffee harvest provides and creating a unique portfolio out of those offerings. Through his hard work and talent, a DBarbosa coffee was the selected
coffee to win the Cup of Excellence for Brazil in 2021 and again in 2024.
In addition to being the coffee maker for DBarbosa Coffees, Deyvid also has his own farm in the Campos Altos area of Cerrado Mineiro which is where this special coffee comes from. Usually, a typical Brazilian coffee from the Cerrado region will lean to the chocolatey and nutty side of coffee. This coffee has an almost effervescent acidity that sparkles with fruit flavors and tropical notes with a sweet, smooth and balanced finish. This stellar coffee shows what can happen when coffee is handled by skilled professionals who can transform a product from something familiar to something truly outstanding.
